A novelty antique, gilt pocket watch key in the shape of a pair of scissors or possibly a candle snuffer. It dates from the early part of the 19th century, and would have been used to wind a ladies' watch. These days it would make a fine addition to a charm bracelet, or as a talking point in a collection worn on a chain or necklace and would be an unusual gift for your loved one. It measures 3.5cm in length.
